Highlights from SAKURA 2019
It was another record-breaking year for the elementary Sakura Medal Reading Program!

The ASIJ Book Bowl Traveling Team went to Makuhari International School last Thursday to participate in the 10th annual Sakura Book Bowl Tournament. The team has been preparing since December with Mrs. Fields and Mrs Cosgrove and the team’s hard work and dedication paid off. The tournament was a real nail biter, but in the end the team came through edging out St. Mary’s International School by 5 points.
Congratulations! The following classes read the most Sakura Books this year:
Grade 1 – 1H
Grade 2 – 2D
Grade 3 – 3B/J
Grade 4 – 4S
Grade 5 – 5V
